Dr Van Nguyen is an experienced skin cancer doctor in Canberra with a dedicated focus on the diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of skin cancer.

He graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and developed a strong surgical foundation working in the Queensland public hospital system across general surgery, plastic surgery, ENT and orthopaedics. This background supports his structured procedural approach to skin cancer care.

Dr Nguyen has been practising in skin cancer medicine since 2003, with over 20 years of experience in the early detection and treatment of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. He is professionally experienced in performing comprehensive skin checks, identifying suspicious lesions early, and providing evidence-based treatment.

His clinical practice includes biopsies, skin cancer excisions, and reconstructive techniques such as flaps and grafts where required. His approach focuses on complete removal of the cancer, with careful attention to function and cosmetic appearance.
